Our Mission

White Oak Stables strives to give people of all ages a place to relax and share their mutual love of horses. Our focus is to educate as well as stress realistic equine care and management in hopes to stop the abuse and slaughter of more then 40,000 to 80,000 equines a year. Our game is designed to emphasize realistic time, skill and money management needed to run a successful horse stable in three different disciplines; english, western and racing. Members must feed, care for, and breed their own horses responsibly otherwise the animals die as they would in real life. Members learn that there are consequences for all of their actions. In this way our game encourages people to start their own horse rescues, and rehabilitate and care for unwanted or neglected horses on the game. It is our hope that these values will be instilled in future generations.

For Parents

Most of the members of White Oak Stables are children, however as our website popularity grows so do the age ranges on the game. We encourage parents to go over basic internet safety with their children and explain the dangers of giving out personal information and other internet safety tips. About Me

My name is Jade Krafsig and as of 2007 I'm a 21yo senior in college. I love horses, absolutely adore them. I have one of my own that I bought July 30th, 2007 named Erin. She's a 1999 Thoroughbred mare out of Aaron's Gold. I plan on showing her in local hunt seat shows in the winter of this year, or spring and summer of next year. I'm a computer science major and I love programming almost as much as I love animals. In my free time I'm either hunched over long lines of code trying to figure out where the error is, or out at the barn riding.

I have two dogs as well, a Chow-Chow and a Lab. I got both of them from local animal shelters as rescues. Paddy, the Chow, is going on 12 this year, and Luna my Lab is 7. Paddy loves to be alone and is a typical Chow. She has the "you can pet me when I want you to" kind of attitude of a cat. Luna was feral and running loose for four months before the county animal control caught her. Because she spent the beginning of her life as a feral dog she's pretty crazy and I don't ever expect her to be normal. She passes out when she sees things that scare her and spends a lot of the day hiding under my bed. But during the night, when its quiet out, she sneaks out from under the bed and acts like a normal Lab -- playful and rowdy.

My hobbies include reading, writing, horse back riding, violin, swimming, and programming. I love making online games and I'm trying to get a job making them for a big name company like EA games. There really aren't enough video games out there for girls, and I would love to change that!!

About Erin aka Diamond Appeal

I bought Erin from my riding instructor. She's a typical off the wall Thoroughbred. She has really great bloodlines and I'd love to breed her in a few years. From her daddy's side she gets Seattle Slew, Bold Ruler, War Admiral and Man O War, just to name a few. I think one of her foals would not only be cute and around 16hh, but have as much jumping ability as she does. Eventually I plan on breeding her and training her foal as a hunter/jumper. I plan on showing Erin locally over 2'6 and 3ft courses. As you can see she's a pretty great jumper. her half-brother Gold Slinger (pictured to the right) recently made his debut at Uppervile 2007 and did an awesome job over 3'6 fences.

Her dad, Aaron's Gold, has an impressive racing and jumping record. He's a 17.1hh Jockey Club registered Thoroughbred. He was raced up in Charleston, West Virginia and is one of the best Thoroughbred studs in Virginia.

I'm still in the process of tracking down her mother's bloodlines. My instructor only knew who her sire was so I have to contact her old owner to find out the other half of her pedigree. Even if I never figure it out that doesn't matter to me one bit -- it just gives me something to do in my free time if I ever have any
