Allowed Cross-breeds

Some horses on WOSE are allowed to be cross-bred.

Here are the breeds that you can cross to each other:

Quarter Horse X Arabian = Quarab

Thoroughbred X Quarter Horse = Appendix

Irish Draught X Thoroughbred = Irish Sport Horse

Andalusian X Friesian = Warlander

Percheron X Andalusian = Spanish-Norman Horse

Saddlebred X Arabian = National Show Horse

Morgan X Arabian = Morab

Appaloosa X Arabian = Araappaloosa

Thoroughbred X Arabian = Anglo-Arab

And vice versa.Cross-breeds can be beneficial sometimes when a player has great horses of two breeds that might like to have a foal of another breed. The one down-fall is that once a foal has been born from a cross-bred pair, it can only mate with a foal of the same breed. So an Appendix cannot be bred to a Thoroughbred or vice versa; it must be bred to an Appendix.These are the only breeds you can cross. You can't cross an Arabian and an Appaloosa because it is not allowed. And you can't breed a Shetland and a Draft breed. Last Edited: 10/29/10
