Step 1: Find A Picture

Search online for a picture you like that isn't copyright protected. Using a copyright protected photo is ILLEGAL unless you have permission from the owner first. There are several different websites that offer royalty free and stock image photos you can use. Many of them have a fairly large selection of horse pictures. Of course you can also use any picture you've taken yourself with a digital camera that's been uploaded to your computer.

Step 2: Uploading Your Photo

Next you need to move the photo from your computer to the Internet. There are several different websites online that let you do this but most people use tinypic.com. Some people also use photobucket.com. Either one is fine.

To start go to: http://tinypic.com
  • Click the browse button
  • Find the picture you want to put on your horse on your computer
  • Click on the green UPLOAD button after you've selected your photo
  • A box will pop up asking you to enter a word into it. Enter the word into the box and click on the green UPLOAD button again
  • A new page will come up that says Share This Image. It has 4 boxes on it. Copy the text in the very last box (the one right above the green button). You can copy the text by selecting it all and pressing CTRL and the C key on your keyboard at the same time.
  • That's it your photo has been uploaded and you have copied the URL for that photo. Now you're ready to put it on your horse.

Step 3: Put The Photo On Your Horse

White Oak Stables needs the URL of your photos in order to display them on your horse's page. So now we have to take the URL you copied and put it on your horse.

  • Login to your whiteoakstables.net account.
  • Find the horse you want to put this photo on.
  • Click on your horse's name.
  • Find the picture URL box on your horse's page.
  • Paste the URL you copied from tinypic.com into the URL text field. To do this press CTRL and the P key at the same time.
  • Click on the save changes or go button to update your horse's picture URL.
  • When the page reloads the picture you just uploaded appears on your horse's account page.
