The English register, WOSE, is one of two games you can play on White Oak Stables, the other being the Racing register often referred to as WOSR. The English game focuses on English riding competition. It includes halter, dressage, pleasure, hunt seat, equitation, show jumping, cross country, endurance, and side saddle.

Getting Started

Once you've created your account you'll need to do a few things.

  • Become familiar with navigation - the buttons on the left hand side of your account will take anywhere you need to go.
  • Buy a horse - what's a horse game without a horse?
  • Buy tack and clothes - you'll need these to show your horse
  • Care for your horse - click on your horse's name for more options and statistics. Take your horse to the vet, farrier, and buy it some feed.
  • Groom your horse - horses that are groomed do better in shows
  • Tack your horse - you can show your horse without tack but chances of winning a show without tack on are pretty much zero.
  • Enter your horse in a show - go to your account and click on enter shows. Select a show that's in circuit with the same level as your horse's grade. Select how to ride your horse and click the button to enter. Then go back and find and out of circuit show. You can enter 1 in circuit and 1 out of circuit show every day. As soon as the out of circuit show has run you can enter another one, that means you can enter several out of circuit shows in a single day.
  • Check your show results - in circuit shows run every night. Out of circuit shows run that night or sooner if the show owner decides to run it before then.
  • Now you've gotten the hang of the basics, but there's lots more to do!

Learning To Play

Here are some things you should try to do in order to learn how to play.

  • Change your account page - go to your account and then click on settings.
  • Breed a horse - your mare will be pregnant for several days before the baby arrives.
  • Rank up a horse - a higher level horse means its value will go up
  • Grade up a horse - a horse with a higher grade will make you a lot more money if you intend to sell it
  • Sell or auction a horse - this is a great way to make some money
  • Go to the bank - collect a weekly salary, add or withdraw money from your savings account or send money to friends
  • Check out the chat room - meet other horse crazy people
  • Post on the message boards - stay on top of what's going on in the game
  • Read, write and review on horse writers - show off your writing talents or enjoy a good tale
  • Join a club - as a member of a club you can enter club competitions, shows and post on the club message board

Becoming Competitive

The best of the best, players and horses, can only be found by clicking on the main menu then locating the best players on the game button. Now you can see how you rank against everyone else who plays the game. The more you show your horses the higher your rankings will go until one day you could be at the very top of the list. Good luck!
