What to look for?

Firstly, try and find a trainer who comes on regularly, for example every day. An active trainer is more likely going to train and look after the horses.

Next check the pricing and packages if offered. Certain things usually cost approx certain amounts. Daily duties without vet and farrier cost about $100 per horse per week, with vet/farrier around $200 per week. Training can be done by sessions or packages, sessions could be $10 to $50 per session, but packages such as trained one a day 5 days a week are approx $200 per week. Preference training is usually $100 to $200 per horse. Some trainers offer packages of daily duties and training, and cost around $300 to $600 per week.

Another thing to check is how many horses the trainer currently trains, you can find his out by clicking train from the trainers page. The more horses could mean that they might not have space, but could also mean that they are reliable, then look to see how many stables they train for. The more they train for shows that they are reliable.

It is also important to look at the trainers stats. If the trainer has 0 starts then it most likely means that they are a new player. This has its pros and cons. A new trainer can easily become a private trainer, however they have no experience and a lot of new trainers are unreliable.

Where to look?

There are two main places to look for a trainer. The main place is on the message boards. There is a whole area for trainers to post messages if they need work. The second place to look is in the Members Online box. Often times people will put things at the end of their member name when they're looking for work.

How to hire?

First make sure you game message the trainer to find out if they can take on your horses, and also to come to agreement with price. When the trainer has agreed to, you just need to go onto the trainer's home page and click on the link there which says "offer this member a job".

Once the trainer has accepted your request, you can assign horses to them from the staff page.

Paying the trainer?

This can be done in three different ways. The trainer can send you a payment request, which will show up on your homepage and all you need to do is "accept". Or you can pay them by going to the bank. In the bank you can either click on "pay staff", then choose which member of your staff you need to pay, enter how much and click "pay". OR you can click "send money", enter your trainer's ID number and pay them that way.

My trainer does not do his job how do I fire them?

This can be done from your staff page, the last option on this page is to fire staff. Choose which member of staff you wish to fire and then click fire.
