White Oak Stables (WOS) is a friendly community, that has many good people that strive to help each other.
Getting Started
White Oak Stables is several games in one, english, racing and western. Playing the game is simple! First you'll need to buy a horse that's at least 2 years old. If you're a jockey or trainer then you'll need to find a job instead. Once you have a horse make sure you take it to the vet and farrier. They will confirm that your horse is healthy and ready to start competing. If your horse is unhealthy, sick, lame, or pregnant you won't be able to show or race.
Once you've finished with the vet and farrier you're ready to start competing! In the english register you can choose from lots of different events, everything from show jumping to cross country to eventing. Pick something at the training level. In the racing register you'll need to enter your horse in the appropriately graded race. If you just bought your horse then enter it into a time trial race.
A Realistic Game
White Oak Stables is the only realistic horse game on the internet. That means if you have horses you'll need to take care of them every few days otherwise they get sick a die. Dying horses can be rescued by other members who often form horse rescue groups in the game. If your horse dies, it's no longer on the game anymore. That means you can't show it, breed it, or sell it.
Aging & Restrictions
All horses grow older as you play. In the english game, every 1 week is a year for your horses in the game. In the racing game every 30 days is 1 year in the game. Horses in the racing register age slower because they can only race until they're 8 years old. This gives members more time to race them and enjoy them.
Economy & Prestiege
White Oak Stables isn't just about the horses, it's about learning to become a horse person. Buy, sell, trade and compete your way into our top 10 and spotlights. These feature the best members, horses, trainers, jockeys, writes, and much more. Every month these statistics are reset in the english register. Every six month they're reset in the racing register. This gives everyone a chance to become the best of the best. Prizes and awards are sometimes given out to members and horses at the top of these charts.
