Do you know how the Quarter Horse got it's name? These hearty horses are known for being exceptionally fast sprinters at a quarter of a mile winning them the Quarter Horse name.

Quarter Horses are often used in Western events because of their sturdy body, long lasting endurance, and turning abilities. As a result they're often associated with Cowboys from the American Old West.
