Save pedigree
From HelpWiki
15. Save/Delete Pedigree – On WOSE, when a horse becomes 20 years old, two options appear on the horse's page above the vet's message: Delete Pedigree or Save Pedigree. Both buttons produce an “Are you sure?” pop-up to allow you to make sure of the decision you made. This pop-up is helpful when the button may have accidentally been clicked instead of the Groom Horse | Tack Horse | Train Horse link.
The two links appear only for the first day of that “year” (technically real-life week) the horse is alive, and continues to show up on the first day of ages 21-24, until age 25, when the links stay on the horse's page. The horse stays on the English account until age 30 when it is naturally retired. If a horse is naturally retired on the account, the account does not show the horse with the “Show Retired Horses” link on the regular account page.
Clicking the Save Pedigree button “retires” the horse from showing and breeding, and saves on the player's account the important information about the horse as far as name, rank, pedigree, foals, and shows competed. The personality, value, and grade of the horse changes. A link to the main account where the horse is retired also is shown on the retired horse's page.
Clicking the Delete Pedigree button deletes all information about that horse as if it never existed. If the horse has foals, the pedigree from the foal's page will show that parent as being deceased. Deleting the pedigree may be used if the horse has come from ill-bred, overbred, or in-bred parents. Many players will not buy foals/horses with a deleted/deceased pedigree simply because they do not want to take a risk of in-breeding. Some horses that have deleted pedigrees are used as filler horses for shows.
