Stables
From HelpWiki
Stables – A member who has purchased an upgrade has a stable. This enables the player to buy higher ranked clothing and tack from the stores to help increase the horse's “chance” of doing well in the shows when the clothes and tack have been “put on.” As with any other account, horses on stable accounts will age normally and lose health if not taken care of daily. Medium through Blue Ribbon Stable accounts have a feature that allow the account to be put on “away” so the horses will stay as healthy as their page shows when the player puts the account on “away.” The “away” account button is located on the player's main account page under the top right account information. Any account on away cannot show, buy, or sell horses. Stable shows can be run for others, but horses on that account cannot be shown. The account has to disable the away account to be able to show horses.
The smallest upgrade is a small stable, and the player may make one stable show per day for other players. The Small Stable allows for the higher ranked clothing and tack, but does not allow the player to put the account on “away” if he or she will be away from the account for days at a time. The highest rating of a small stable is rate 9.
Medium stables allow 2 stable shows to be run for others everyday. The highest rating of a medium stable is rate 9. The medium stable is the smallest upgrade with the most amenities: stable shows, away account, breeder, trainer/instructor, boarders, etc.
Large stables allow 3 shows to be run for others everyday. The highest rating of a large stable is rate 9.
Blue Ribbon stables allows 5 shows to be run for others everyday. The highest rating of a Blue Ribbon Stable is rate 10 – the best. Much money is put into a stable to make it a rate 10 blue ribbon. If a player has purchased a Blue Ribbon upgrade, he or she should buy as many stalls as possible to allow for as many boarders as possible. LOTS of first aid kits are needed to make the Blue Ribbon Stable a rank 10 stable. Blue Ribbon Stables lose their Blue Ribbon status at the end of a full 365 days then go down a status to the Large Stable.
Any stable may be upgraded to the next larger and will permanently stay at that status with the exception of a Blue Ribbon Stable that must be maintained by purchasing the upgrade when the 365 days have expired.
Stables also give the player the ability to buy from and sell to the International Auction (the racing game of White Oak Stables). If a player buys a 2-horse trailer from the Stable n Things, two horses can be sold to the Int. Auc. The more horse trailers bought, the more horses can be offered to sell at auction.
Stable owners may also become breeders and trainers/instructors.
A breeder is a player who accepts to breed horses for another player on that other player's account. A player chooses either from the stable owner's account page, or from the breeder's link on the main menu. The player then chooses the mare and stallion to be bred and pays the fee. A game message (GM) should then be sent to the breeder that a breeding request has been made. A breeding request only lasts for seven (7) days. (For more information, see Breeding Requests.)
A trainer is also called an instructor, and gives lessons to other players. Players request a lesson from the stable owner's main page, chooses the horse and event the horse is in, and uses the rider settings for that horse. A GM must be sent to the stable owner, or the lesson will not take place. Once the stable owner knows about the lesson, the lesson can be run. When the lesson is run, the stable owner gets a lesson message somewhat like this: _____ that lets the player who requested the lesson know what needs to be changed in the way the horse is shown. When the message is sent to the player who requested the lesson, the lesson fee is taken, and the horse's health will have gone down.
A stable account also has the ability to accept boarders as long as stalls have been purchased from the Stable n Things link – either from the main menu or from the stable owner's stable link.
To be able to host and run shows, the stable owner must purchase the rings and courses for the various events. Judge's stands, parking lots, and spectator stands are also necessary to hold stable shows. Much money goes into the purchasing of events to be able to run shows.
Stable owners may NOT enter their own shows. Thus, players like to trade shows.
