Explanation

This is an explanation given by tranquil_sun for the November 25th, 2007 Special Show. All information is correct and can be applied to every Special show - minus the info about date, points, and money information. That info changes with each Special Show put up each month.

Who can enter?

Any upgraded member. If you own a small, medium, large or blue ribbon stable you may enter the special shows.

What event is it for?

Side Saddle

How do I enter a special show?

Go to Your Account. Click on Enter Shows. Using only the grade menu, select Specials and search. The special shows will come up.

What horses do I enter?

You may enter any and every horse on your account.

If it is for Side Saddle, why am I entering my halter and dressage horses?

Because the nature of the special shows is unique. It isn't like a daily or stable show. It is for all horses regardless of best event. Horses with none, bad, fair, low, medium odds have won SC and BIS in special shows. Do not let the odds discourage you from entering.

Why can't I enter 2 horses?

You may only enter 1 horse per show. Wait for them to roll over and enter the next.

Roll over? What?

When a show reaches 10 entries, a new show for the special in that grade will open. If you can't see it, try refreshing, or go to the drop down menu and click on specials and search again. The shows disappear after there are 11 horses in the show.

Why can't I enter dailies?

If you enter a horse in the special, it cannot be in dailies. Both are considered in circuit and just as one horse can't be in two dailies it can't be in a daily and the special. You may still enter your horse in stable shows, however.

When must I enter by?

You must enter your horses no later than Saturday - they run with the daily shows. If you live in Europe, they run very early tomorrow morning (5am GMT). If you live in Australia, ignoring the fact that time zones vary they run sometime in the afternoon on Sunday. You may enter any time between now and when they run.
