Trainer
From HelpWiki
On WOSR, there are several different purposes of a trainer.
The main role is to train horses. As a trainer it is important that you regularly train horses and find out the individual horses preferred racing preferences, these are factors like how many furlongs the horse likes to be raced, the track conditions, how the horse leaves the starting gate and for how long the horse sprints. A horse tends to run to its best ability when using its preferred preferences, and this could mean winning races.
It is also the trainers responsibility to tell both the stable owner and jockey a horses racing preferences, so the owner can run the horse in the correct races, and the jockey can ride it to encourage a win.
Another role of a trainer is to also look after the horses daily needs, but only if stated by the owner. These needs are known as daily duties and include: feeding, watering, grooming, mucking out and also making sure the horse is healthy by using the vet and farrier.
All this is a lot of work, so most trainers either offer training packages or only offer certain services.
