History
White Oak Stables was created in 1999 by Jade Krafsig. It started as a book and later turned into a full fledged online game. It officially opened in September 2001 and is currently run and owned by her game company design1online.com.
Company Mission Statement
Design1Online's (D1O) mission is to create games for girls that inspire dreams and ambitions, are fun and entertaining, provide a safe social environment, teach essential life skills, and promote member-driven content.
Company Background
With over 10 years and 16 titles experience, D1O has become one of the leading companies in online text-based games. They offer a quality experience and efficient programming suitable to budget and needs.
Jade Krafsig, founder and CEO has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and is working towards a Masters in Game Development. D1O's countless years of experience and unique insight can be attributed to the young girl who decided to write a story about a horse -- and unknowingly creating a company geared towards quality games for women of all ages.
Today D1O has expanded to incorporate many other games, almost all of which center around animals. In total D1O has had the opportunity to work on over 16 games, several of which are still running strong today.
